The Forrest Gump

There are very few movies which really brings you down and leaves you with memories of the film and also do brings some tears down your cheeks….The Forrest Gump is one of those movies…I accidentally bought this movie hoping to see one more good performance of Tom Hanks and yet again it proves to be one of his bests..I really makes me think what must be in the directors mind when they attempt to make such movie…Do they come up with a story or its picked from some real life incidents.Whatever it is, Hats off to the director and the performers. With some very realistic and emotional scenes this movie is sure to be one of my favourites…

This movie is about a not so smart guy called Forrest Gump and his journey through Life. The journey which he describes as a free flow of events that happened by chance but whatever happened remained made his destiny…The movie starts of which this wonderful dialogue”Life is like a box of chocolates…you never know what you will get out of it”.So if you are interested in one of those classic movies, give it a try…

Another Year Passes….

Posted in Life on September 20, 2008 by mayoor

So its another year passing by and bringing down my life by one more year…..Probably i would say another uneventful year passing by…So what happened in the last one year….When i sit down to think about it absolutely nothing comes to my mind…Have i been lifeless for one year or this software job has bored me to that extend or what,i don know..Am really waiting for a change somehow…Something that makes living interesting..something that I can be happy doing…And probably lots of days goes thinking what is that which can make life a little interesting…

One year in software has been a pretty dull one…The same routing goes on daily..Come to office at 10…have lunch…Hear to some crap from others and at the end go and sleep…The same events have been in a endless loop for a year…Waiting desperately for some kind of an miracle to happen…Life is dull..nothing good…sometimes i just feel of going on a life long trip somewhere…going around all the places…no responsibilities…no chasing money…no emotions…jus pure joy visiting the whole world…But that can happen only in dreams..May be can become a saint going around himalaya:-):-)Many times i wish i had been a COOK in some hotel…strange thought but still i would love doing that rather than writing code for some nonsense software:-):-)Many times think why cant we be in college for whole of our life…It was a good life…no worry…no tensions…not enough money but still very much satisfied..those were actually good days with lots of friends around…And now you can hardly find anyone really concerned…,But LIFE goes on…hmmm hope god helps solve this puzzle called life somehow…..Will be writing more about it later:-)

The best things in life

1.When you are driving a bike in heavy traffic,a baby in the rear side of the car seeing you and making strange facial expressions, smiling and all those baby stuffs.Probably the best thing for me to get crazy.Jus gives unlimited happiness.

2.When you are at home getting bored and thinking what to do and a very good friend of yours calls  up and you end up talking for hours. The best time pass!!!!

3.On a hill station, very cool, its drizzling all the day and you have a ice cream in your hand and licking it till you just have the stick in your hand.Experienced it many times.

4.In a group of friends and some innocent soul caught between us and dragging him to his limit and ending up laughing up till ur stomach aches.

5.Driving your way through drizzling rain without your helmet and getting each drop on your face.

6.A small pat from someone close to you for a job well done.

7.Watching a Rajini movie on the first day of its release and shouting till your voice gets off.

8.Fighting for the snacks any friend brings from home and ending up having the largest share:-)Rare this days those were good days.

9.A good sleep after a hard days work and that rarely happens cos there has never been a hard working day:-)

10.Sitting alone on a beach and just getting amazed by the vastness of the see.

11.Sitting on Aquada fort(Goa) and jus being null and thinking nothing.

12.Having the IPOD plugged and driving through no traffic and not feeling shy that someone is watching you singing loudly while driving.probably most of the good things have been while driving!!!!

13.When you get in some problem and a friend gets into the same mess of things,Just feels great that you are not alone…You have got someone with you to get thrashings too.:-)

14.When noone at home and you let your music system so loud enough and do whatever you want-dance,sing aloud, eat without any restriction, and jus let your mind free .

15.the most important of all-foooooood…Jus cant miss any chance to stuff things in mouth..You can see the results.

16.Seeing sharukh movies…

17.You have a practise of writing a blog or a diary and after many years you read through the same and imagine the old events..really brings a smile on your face as to how silly you used to be…and probably a little sadness that where did all those days go.

18.meeting up and old friend and knowing that that friend still remembers the pet names you used in college or school and recollecting all those special moments in life.

19.Getting up at 6 in the morning trying to go jogging and convincing yourself to sleep for ten more minutes and that small sleep lasting for hours.

20.preparing something different in kitchen when noone is at home.Whatever crap you make,it tastes good.Have prepared some really disgusting things.

21.Wishing for something you want and someone surprising you with that as a gift.I got my IPOD.

22.Probably the time when you are not worried about your future and jus living that moment.

23.Browsing for some good CD’s in a shop and making someone with you frustrated by making them wait.

24.A small child coming and hugging you.

25.Having IDLI’s and DOSA’s:-)

Enough for now…a new list soon:-)

Probably the list will go on…Life is made up of all this small small things that inspire you and make you believe that living is not that bad and you can enjoy those small incidents and get that happiness which no money or no relationship can give.Enjoy those moments cos LIFE IS GOOOOOD when you come across those things which really make you happy. This are the things which made my life a little simple:-)

Wat is nxt!!!

Posted in General with tags , , on August 16, 2008 by mayoor

As this samsung ad goes Wat is nxt!!!! but the context i am talking abt is different here…Once it was manufacturing…then it was telecom…then it was and it is IT…so wats nxt…Have been thinking abt this a while what can be the next big thing after IT…IT have come and stayed on for a longer time but as most of them say the field changes every ten years…so what fieldwill be capturing the minds of endless people in the next decade..Will it be retail…will it be infrastructure…wat else…mind stops thinking that anything can exist after computers…probably we will know when it comes…But i personally wish it should be manufacturing for exports…Probably this may sound vague cos all know INDIA itself on its own is self deficit…India’s manufacturing is still not self sufficient…But neither is china’s…what needs to be explored is export will bring in a lot and lot of foreign money which can be used extensively for its own development…china is a great example…still we know that most chinese people still live in poverty…still there is enemployment…but wats needs to be taken is china started manufacturing cheap goods and exported to whole world…Now there is no single thing you cant manufacture in china…it is a saying that even secret documents from pentagon can be duplicated in china…it has made itself a manufacturing hub…And the result o\you can see in the opening ceremony of the olympics…Would anyone have expected china to give such a opening ceremony it it had not gone into manufacturing ..If it had remained the age old most populous country it was once…once only thing that came into mind on hearing china was excess population…but now things have changed ..it has become synonymous with manufacturing…let it be cheap manufacturing….probably they have planned and executed it too well…probably this olympics can do wonders to china’s image . So why cant India too go on the same lines…It has become the IT hub of the world…Wats nxt!!!!!!

Life Series-1

Posted in Uncategorized on June 1, 2008 by mayoor

Its just something about the so called cast equations INDIA.

I was travelling on my bike to some place and suddenly it got punctured. Now its really like hell when you don’t find a puncture repair shop nearby. So there i was searching for some repair shop.In this process   i happened to enquire in some general store about the whereabouts of any shop shop nearby.Initially that shop owner just told he didn’t knew anything and asked me to enquire elsewhere. So i started my search again.I was a few steps away from that shop that someone again from that same shop called me back.I didnt know for what! I went to them expecting some findings on any mechanic shop nearby.A man sitting outside that shop first asked me what religion i belonged to.I was perplexed as to what does a puncture repair had to do with religion. And since i wear a muslim  thaviz he could have asked it.But anyway i was confused. And then he asked whether i was a Muslim.I replied with a polite NO.And then what he spoke really stunned me.

Knowing that i am not a Muslim he told if i want i can park my bike in his house compound and take it back in that morning for repair.Initially i just didn’t understand Wat intentions he had and am still confused till date.It was because i was not Muslim he would allow me to park my bike in his compound although i didnt ask him of such a favour.Si it literally means if i was a Muslim i would not been given such a favour.I didin really know wat he was talking about why would he not allow a Muslim to park his bike.

I don have much to comment on this incident but really still such a kind of hatred and religious limitations exists in this society and they tell THE WORLD IS FLAT.The measurement should not be just on parameters like amount of business ,sales or talent. If the world would have been levelled i would not have been asked such a question.

Customer Satisfaction wins the game!!!

Posted in Uncategorized on March 7, 2008 by mayoor

As Gandhi said appropriately “Customer is the king” and also
“A customer is the most important visitor on our premises. he is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him. He is not an interruption in our work. He is the purpose of it. He is not an outsider in our business. He is part of it. We are not doing him a favor by serving him. He is doing us a favor by giving us an opportunity to do so.”
I very much agree with this..And you may think why am i talking of it now…Jus cos i was extremely moved by service offered by the so called waiters at a hotel yesterday…Although it was a pretty costly hotel not many of such hotels offer such a king of service or the truth may be i have not used to such service yet but i was really impressed…I had the freedon of saying a particular thing was not good and accepted it abd were there with another similar dish jus as a compliment…And many such services…It becomes a integral part of the success of any firm..It induces the customers to come again n again and fell satisfied that their maney gives them some worth. So all i want to say is that Gandhi was correct and Customer Satisfaction plays a very very vital role in your success or your companies success.Hmmm better i would become a business consultant:-):-):-) any ideas!!!!And i have no problem in mentioning the name of the hotel, its “MainLand China”–church street, banglore.

Trip-II **ShivaSamudram

Posted in Uncategorized on February 24, 2008 by mayoor

Nooo waterSo here we were off in search of another place free from the noisy vehicles n dirty pollution as it is in Bangalore. And this time we decided to give ShivaSamudram a try. Even though this id not the best time to visit that place we jus thought to get a day off from bgl and as usual unplanned we started for that place without knowing wats in there…

It’s not so popular a place except that I got some falls and nothingggg else. It’s a bikers place as many bikers from bgl hit that place every weekend jus for the joy of riding. But we were into those bumpy buses going through the smallest roads it can find and getting all the soil inside. So we were there all covered in mud (literally)…The bus ride was a rather tough one with those extra bumpy roads (or no roads)…We started at around 9:30 and reached that place around 12:30 or 1 p.m.And usual we were shocked reaching that village.Absolutelu nothing of that sorts like waterfalls seemed to be nearby. It was a simple backward normal village and we wondered where in this ground level are we to find a water fall. I got information from someone that there are two falls that originate from river Cauvery. So first we decided to go to the first fall where a so called famous Dargah was also located. And wat a sight we had on reaching that place called Barachukki falls. It was awe inspiring tremendous beautiful sight to be seen. Some place like heaven. And the sigh was that not a single drop of water was to be seen…It was as good as some rock and no traces of water flowing over it…We were there 120 KM from bgl jus to see not even a single drop of water. All of us were simply wordless regarding our good timing of visited this falls. So we decided to at least go inside that dargah and get blessings. But all were afraid since it was a Muslim place n we didin know whether it was permitted or not. So I decided to give it a try since I wanted to go and jus like all had that kerchief on my head. And luckily I was able to get a Thaviz too which I have with me.a good experience that was although we were much dejected on the water flow ther…The next falls called gaganachukki was a km from that and we were initially hesitant to walk upto there since we were certain it would be the same. The only thing we thought now was to return to bgl and have some good food cos there was not proper hotel at that place too. But since the bus was Seven p.m and it was only 2:00 p.m we decide to walk jus cos it was a good empty silent road…And as we approached the next falls we still were confident of finding no water there too…Butttt to all our excitement from a little distance we were able to see a small water fall and seeing that we became excited that our trip has not gone waste. So we went there and wat we saw was a breathtaking view…It was a valley kind of thing from ground level and a little forest n within that some three water falls and some people having fun in water…This charged us up and that charge was what we badly needed. So we started rushing through the steep steps leading to the valley underneath. All I was thinking was where did this kind of place emerge from so level land and at a place it was never expected to be…It was great to see such a place at SUCH a placeJWat we did was go down and straight into the chill water and enjoying for the next 4 hours in water in the lap of nature. It was a good experience after many days in this polluted city called bgl.

So after having good time in water for abt 4 hours as it was time to leave but I didin wish to come out from that place but had to since the last bus to bgl was at 7 and it was already 6…so had to leave that place and we left that place with many memories both good n bad. Waiting for the next tripppppp.
